I'd like to celebrate the opening of the 8th World Calligraphy Jeollabuk-do Biennale. In the world calligraphy jeon-buk biennale as the most authoritative calligraphy festival in the world, it is getting meaningful as years go by because of appreciating calligraphy works, a painting in the literary artist's style and the objects of the craftworks in the same place.

Calligrapher and inhabitants of the province
The calligraphy has been evaluate as the sow and flowers of the oriental culture because it has put into the spirit of the times. also, there is the word that calligraphy shape is like seeing a mirror because it puts into the calligrapher's personality.

376 calligraphers in Korea, china, japan, and western countries participate in this world calligraphy jeon-buk biennale so please feel the calligrapher's personality.
Also, I'd like this world calligraphy jeon-buk biennale to be the festival digging out invited artist through the commemorative contest exhibit.

Individually, I expect 'the exhibition of the Hangul 11,172字' planned by the world calligraphy jeon-buk biennale committee. As you know, Hangul makes millions letters because Hangul consists of 14 consonants and 10 vowels. But it can makes 11,172 letters only using an initial sound, vowel. So a folding screen, involving 784 calligraphers who writes 14~15 letters, is expected to be made using this 11,172 letters and each writes 14~15 letters. In that it informs the superiority of Hangul, it's very interesting.

Above all, invitation exhibit is another unique because not only jeon-ju but also Ik-san, Kunsan and so on is not limited.

I hope, during the Biennale, a great number of visitors come and enjoy the brush and ink flavors.
Thank-you
